There are so many ways a person can gain and lose followers on social media. However, these days, some people tend to want to gain followers by doing something “edgy”.
Julia Slonska, an Instagram model, is one of those “edgy” people
Slonska recorded herself laughing as she hammered away at the nose of a 200-year-old sculpture located in Swiss Valley Park, Warsaw in the country of Poland.
While the prank was down, assumingly, to gain followers, Slonska received backlash from viewers who were angry at Slonska for the lack of respect for the historic monument. Due to the backlash, the video was removed from Instagram.
Additionally, Slonska’s Facebook account has been deleted. As of today, she hasn’t posted anything to her Instagram account since the backlash.
Poland’s first online bank, mBank, has dropped her from their advertising campaign and Julia has issued an apology in Polish which was translated into English which stated: ‘What happened yesterday should not have taken place at all and seriously, I regret that I did it. ‘I’m so stupid. I will not say what was driving me, why I did it, because it is more of a private affair, but I really wanted to apologise to everyone’.
It has been reported that mBank posted on Instagram: ‘We definitely do not support such behaviour, and the appropriate services should deal with it.
‘As for the responsibility for what the actress does many weeks after the completed photos are taken – we cannot be responsible for the individual choices of such people. ‘In this case, it’s a role for carers. We do not plan to involve this girl in the next spots.’
